
Ellie currently works as an Assistant Research Fellow across He Kāinga Oranga and ASPIRE 2025. She comes from a background in science and statistics and completed a Master of Applied Statistics in 2019 on outbreak detection of campylobacteriosis in Hawke’s Bay.
Her main research interests include the use of applied data analysis to answer research questions within the Public Health area and the use of data to support public health advocacy.
Her current research focus is the use of the Integrated Data Infrastructure research database to conduct natural experiments that support public health advocacy to improve wellbeing of New Zealander’s through better housing policy.
